The Importance of Copy

The copy text is the words in a passage, article, or book that tell the story or provide info. Without copy, the reader wouldn't know what is going on. Pictures can not tell the whole story, they only provide a visual. Text allows actions and events to be stated. An article needs a lead. A lead can be written in multiple forms, but its main purpose is to engage the audience. After the lead, comes the body. The body is meant to elaborate on the topic and provide details that aren't already in the lead. Sidebars are another way extra details can be added. Sidebars can contain various pieces of info that connect to the article. Quotes are also effective towards an article. Articles are supposed to keep a respectful tone and stray away from offensive language.
